We focus on maximizing the umami and sweetness of the ingredients themselves.

We took time to develop our own recipes with unique flavours such as miso and black sesame, which we Japanese have been familiar with for a long time. We maximise the taste and sweetness of the ingredients themselves. Komecco’s sweets also represent the Japanese culture of incorporating the changes of the seasons and the beauty of nature into its cuisine.

Power of RICE

Our brand name, “Komecco” comes from the Japanese word “米粉-Komeko” which means rice flour.

It may not be very well known in Europe, but rice flour contains many necessary nutrients for the body, such as protein, vitamin B1 and vitamin E. Rice flour is also gluten-free and It doesn’t have any strong or distinct flavour, making it is very suitable for preparing sweets. Our Japanese rice flour does not contain any additives and the ingredients that we use are safe and reliable.
