– Delicious and Guilt-free! –

Eating sweets makes me feel happy, but my stomach feels heavy and my body feels tired afterwards. The white sugar made me addictive and I had a constant crave for it. This crave, addiction and guilt were troubling me for a long time.

I looked for healthy, tasty sweets but I couldn’t find it. Then I thought; why not bake my own sweets? Then I have control over what I put in them. I started baking with Japanese ingredients instead of white sugar and gluten.

At first, it didn’t go as I wished for. I kept failing. But after continuously adjusting the recipes and reviewing the different ingredients, finally I could bake cakes that I was satisfied with.

2022

Komecco’s Beginning

I started receiving orders from my friends on a regular basis, and I noticed that especially friends with allergies and my vegan friends were very happy with the cakes. My vegan friend said to me, “I can finally bring the tasty cake to a party and enjoy it with myself and with everybody!”

This experience turned into a determination, ”Isn’t there more demand for this?”

Now I have a full-fledged job making cakes, and they are ready for various people, such as those with allergies, those who are more particular about what’s in the ingredients, and those who are interested in exploring new flavours. I have a strong wish to have everybody try my cakes!

The black cat I had when I was a child and rice plants are the symbols of Komecco. Komecco is a brand which is friendly to people, animals, and to the earth. We plan to donate our partial profit to animal welfare organizations in the future.
